What began as a hobby became a calling. God turned a simple idea into the start of Dwayne Adams Game Works. By His grace, this studio exists to honor Jesus Christ—shaping games and books with honesty, craft, and care.
Here is my testimony and how my life changed:
I grew up in church and walked an aisle at seven to please my dad, not to follow Jesus. After my dad died when I was seventeen, I entered the Navy angry at God. Sin and selfishness ruled my life—pornography, broken relationships, and years of mental‑health struggles. I became a hermit, tried to change my identity with hormones, and lived in despair.
God used a faithful friend to point me to a YouTube Q&A where Pastor Cary Schmidt (Emmanuel Baptist, Newington, CT) was teaching his Clash of Kingdoms Revelation series. I learned the Bible is trustworthy, read his short book Done, and finally understood grace. I repented and trusted Jesus—He saved me, and the Holy Spirit made me new.
The Lord then connected me with Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chico. Brother Richard invited me, and I was baptized. God began changing everything: daily Scripture and prayer, singing in the choir, real fellowship, and a healed mind—I no longer need the medications I once depended on. I reclaimed my male identity legally, made true friends, and launched a small business I aim to run with integrity for God’s glory as I work toward leaving assistance.
KJV — 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
If He could change me, He can change you. I’d be honored to pray for you and point you to Jesus.
